Position Overview:
As the Assistant Café Manager at LavaTea, you’ll work closely with the Café Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. You’ll assist in managing the team, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring top-notch customer experiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Team Support:
- Assist in supervising baristas and staff, providing guidance as needed.
- Help manage scheduling, shift coverage, and payroll tasks.
- Foster a positive work environment and assist with team training.
2. Operational Assistance:
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
- Ensure equipment is maintained and functioning properly.
3. Customer Service:
- Support the Café Manager in ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor feedback and work with the team to enhance the overall experience.
4. Quality Control:
- Ensure all beverages meet LavaTea’s quality standards.
- Implement and monitor health and safety protocols.
- Contribute to menu updates and innovations in line with trends.
5. Marketing and Promotion:
- Collaborate on marketing strategies and promotions.
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Engage with the community to build strong relationships.
5. Training and Development:
- Support in training new staff and providing ongoing development.
- Stay informed about industry trends and integrate new ideas.
- Encourage creativity and contribute to a culture of innovation.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a café, restaurant, or similar environment, with some leadership responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented with attention to detail.
- Ability to assist with inventory management, budgeting, and financial tracking.
- Passion for boba tea and a desire to lead a dynamic team.
